As Chief Ethics and Compliance, Data Privacy Officer, for Canada and Internationally, Anne-Marie Côté ensures compliance with Ivanhoé Cambridge's Code of Ethics, as well as due diligence and reputation checks related to global investments.

With over 20 years’ legal experience, she joined Ivanhoé Cambridge in March 2008 as a lawyer and legal advisor. Subsequently, she became Director of Legal Affairs in October 2014. In this role, she negotiated complex contracts and developed her management skills by leading the Québec Operations legal team.

From July 2017 to December 2021, she held the role of Senior Director, Operations / Investment Management. During this time, she also took on responsibility for the Toronto Operations legal team, thus leading the Operations legal team on a national basis.

She worked on the first line of defense for pandemic management. In fall 2021, she led the major project to outsource legal services for the leasing and operation of shopping centers in Ivanhoé Cambridge's Canadian portfolio to an external firm.

Previously, Anne-Marie worked for several years in private practice, specifically in commercial, construction and real estate law. From 2018 to 2021, she also served as Director of Government Relations for Québec of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and member of the Board of directors of La rue des Femmes from 2020 to 2022, in addition to her involvement in various committees and projects within the company.

Anne-Marie has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2000. She also holds a Bachelor of Law from Université de Montréal (UdeM), as well as a Mini MBA from the ACC at Boston University and certification in Ethics and Compliance from the HEC Montréal School of Management.
