être avec toi (ê.a.t.) an innovative dining experience at W Montréal

W Montreal’s new restaurant concept

Montreal – être avec toi (ê.a.t.) – W Montreal’s new restaurant concept – redefines the dining experience by offering evolving and transitional art gallery, exclusive DJdesigned soundtracks, and exquisitely prepared food and drink. The restaurant will be open to the public as of December 3rd.

To redesign the space, bpc worked with Jean Pelland and Martin Leblanc of Sid Lee Architecture, whose concept features art curated by MASSIVart. Energetic street-art murals occupy ê.a.t ‘s entry and bars, and a dense array of paintings (which evolves through continuous creation), hangs throughout the casually-sophisticated dining room. Sound architecture is supplied by many of Montréal’s top DJs, while staff wear original unisex uniforms.

ê.a.t welcomes 160 guests with a seafood-based menu of shareable cuisine by NYC-based Partner Chef Alan Ashkinaze, whose 25-year career includes Chef de Cuisine at the Waldorf Astoria, Executive Chef of Aqua at the St. Regis Monarch Beach and Millesime Restaurant at the Carlton Hotel. Executive Chef is Sébastien Giannini, whose career includes Executive Chef of Montréal’s Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel and The Méridien Hotel in Nice.

All this adds to the restaurant’s excitement and warmth, and to the concept implied by its name: être avec toi/ “to be with you” is to share quality time with others, lost in a bounty of great food and expertly paired wine from all corners of the globe.

“At Ivanhoé Cambridge, we understand that live work and play is in constant evolution. Real estate is about more than buildings, it’s about creating living spaces”, said Sylvain Fortier, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Investment Officer at Ivanhoé Cambridge. “Investing a project such as ê.a.t is perfectly aligned with our strategic vision of creating living which brings together the community around an innovative and artistic concept.”
