Canada’s Clean50 recognizes Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Sera Kontarini

The only real estate industry manager from Quebec to be part of this ranking

Sera Kontarini, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Director, Environmental Programs, has been recognized by Canada’s Clean50, which celebrates outstanding sustainability achievements by 50 individuals or small teams. The work of these sustainable-development and clean-tech leaders is truly making a significant difference and is driving changes that benefit the environment.

Mrs. Kontarini is the only real estate industry manager from Québec to be part of this ranking. The Premier of Québec, Philippe Couillard, and Ontario’s Premier, Kathleen Wynne, are also on this year’s list of winners.

Sera, an honouree in the Building, Design and Development category, is the Company’s point of contact for all aspects of environmental risk management and due diligence. She also developed and implemented a rigorous waste-audit program for over 29 million ft2 (2.7 million m2) of commercial properties, which resulted in produced a waste-diversion rate of 53.8%.

Ivanhoé Cambridge is a leader in corporate social responsibility in its industry. Sera’s work is one of many great examples of the Company’s outstanding efforts in sustainable development.
