Christine Filgiano

Executive Vice President, Portfolio Construction and Risk Management


Christine Filgiano has 30 years of experience in real estate and investment management. In her current role, she is responsible for managing Ivanhoé Cambridge’s global investment portfolio, working to ensure the optimization of risk-return through efficient asset allocation.

Ms. Filgiano joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) in 2010 as Vice President, Real Estate Debt, with a mandate to reposition the Caisse subsidiary Otera Capital and its portfolio, in line with a new investment policy. She then worked as Chief of staff to CDPQ President and Chief Executive Officer. Before being named to her current position, Ms Filgiano successively occupied the roles of Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations, Office North America for Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Ms. Filgiano began her career as a commercial real estate lender with major financial institutions, namely CIBC, Scotiabank and Desjardins Laurentian Financial Corporation. In 2000, she joined Letko Brosseau and Associates, an independent investment management firm specializing in institutional asset management, as Vice-President, Client Servicing.
Over the years, Ms. Filgiano has contributed her professional knowledge to support many causes. She has held positions on committees and boards with various organizations. She currently sits on the Investment Committee of the Université de Montréal endowment fund.

Ms. Filgiano has a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance from Concordia University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She also holds the designation of Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés and that of Chartered Director (C.Dir.) from The Directors College.
