EY will move into four floors of Maison Manuvie

Ivanhoé Cambridge and Manulife are very proud to announce that EY has selected Maison Manuvie at 900 de Maisonneuve Boulevard West as its new home in downtown Montreal. EY will occupy approximately 8,000 m2 (86,000 ft2) of office space. With a move planned for summer 2018, over 750 EY employees will step into a new work environment conducive to collaboration, teamwork and technology integration.

“We are thrilled to welcome EY to Maison Manuvie,” said Bernard Poliquin, Senior Vice President, Office, Quebec, Ivanhoé Cambridge. “This transaction confirms once again the market’s keen interest in cutting-edge spaces that meet the high standards and evolving expectations of today’s tenants, their employees and their clients. Because EY wants to provide its employees with an environment that offers mobility and urban vitality, it has decided on space in the heart of downtown, connected to public transit and to Montreal’s underground city.”

“This is a good day for Manulife, Ivanhoé Cambridge, EY and the City of Montreal,” said Stephen Nicoletti, Managing Director, Eastern Canada, Real Estate Asset Management, Manulife Real Estate. “Maison Manuvie, our joint venture project with Ivanhoé Cambridge, provides employees and visitors alike with outstanding design, connectivity, and workplace flexibility. It will be the home of Manulife’s Montreal-based operations and we are proud to share it with EY.”

This is one of the largest transactions of 2016 in Montreal’s Class AAA office building leasing market. Co-owned by Manulife and Ivanhoé Cambridge, Maison Manuvie will be 27 storeys high with approximately 45,200 m(486,500 ft2) of space, more than 24,000 m2 (260,000 ft2) of which will be occupied by Manulife employees. Construction of Maison Manuvie is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2017.

Designed by the Montreal architectural firm Menkès Shooner Dagenais Letourneux, the Class AAA building features timeless architecture and enhanced efficiency with a focus on sustainable development. Designed to meet the standards for LEED® CS (Core and Shell) Gold certification, Maison Manuvie will offer a working environment with optimized layout flexibility, maximum brightness and opportunities to create open and collaborative workspaces. With a tenant lounge area, a multi-purpose conference centre, an outdoor terrace located on the 8th floor, facilities to accommodate bicyclists and more than 360 above-ground parking spaces, Maison Manuvie will feature next-generation workspace strategies.
