2016 GRESB Survey Results: Ivanhoé Cambridge receives Green Star ranking for second consecutive year

For the second consecutive year, Ivanhoé Cambridge has received a Green Star ranking in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark Survey (GRESB).

For the second consecutive year, Ivanhoé Cambridge has received a Green Star ranking in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark Survey (GRESB). The Green Star signifies a strong performance in sustainability management, policy, implementation and measurement. A total of 759 real estate companies and funds from around the world, representing $2.8 trillion in asset value, participated in this year’s survey.

“We can be proud of our improved performance this year,” said Bill Tresham, President, Ivanhoé Cambridge. “We are not only continuing to improve sustainability practices within our operations, but also helping to set the tone by positively influencing our partners and contributing to sustainability improvements for our entire industry,”

The GRESB survey occurs on an annual basis. It evaluates the performance of participating real estate organizations on a host of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors. Participation in the survey allows these organizations to understand their performance relative to their peers and thereby identify strategic areas for improvement.

Ivanhoé Cambridge’s improvements were driven largely by gains in areas relating to Policy and Disclosure, Monitoring and Environmental Management Systems, Stakeholder Engagement, New Construction and Major Renovations, and Building Certifications.
