Ivanhoé Cambridge today announced a series of activities associated with the celebration of Black Friday, which takes place on November 29 this year, at 32 of its shopping centres across Canada.

The highly anticipated event offers several new activities for bargain-hunters while also encouraging consumers to shop responsibly.

Promotions at the 32 participating properties
As part of the Black Friday event, the 32 participating shopping centres will get creative and showcase various promotional campaigns, including gift-card giveaways, contests and prize draws. In addition, many retailers will offer special promotions for customers on Black Friday.

7 a.m. doors open
As well, participating shopping centres in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia will open their doors at 7 a.m. on Black Friday, November 29.

Responsible shopping
Most of the participating shopping centres will also take this opportunity to give back to the community by collecting donations of gently used clothing or accessories to help charitable and Other organizations.

Because November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, participating shopping centres in Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia have partnered with the Clothesline program of the Canadian Diabetes Association and Entraide diabétique du Québec to promote these causes, while also adopting the theme of responsible shopping.
