Ivanhoé Cambridge announced today a series of management appointments aimed at supporting the implementation of its strategic plan. In all, five women executives are joining the management team of Ivanhoé Cambridge, a global leader in the real estate sector.
Josée Dubuc is joining Ivanhoé Cambridge as Executive Vice-President, Human Resources and Corporate Services. Ms. Dubuc has more than 20 years of experience in human resources. As part of her new functions, she will report to Daniel Fournier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ivanhoé Cambridge. Ms. Dubuc assumes her role on March 19 and she will be in charge of all activities related to human resources and corporate services across Canada and worldwide. She was previously Chief Talent Officer at Yellow Pages Group since 2003. She was named one of Canada’s top managers in the Top 40 under 40 list for her reorganization work within the Group.
In light of Josée Dubuc’s appointment, David C. Smith will assume new duties at Ivanhoé Cambridge from the Toronto office. As Executive Vice-President, Human Resources – International, he will focus on human resources activities related to external markets. Mr. Smith will report to Josée Dubuc.
The Human Resources Department also welcomed Caroline Rousseau on January 9 as Vice-President, Organizational Effectiveness. With more than 15 years of experience in human resources, she joined Ivanhoé Cambridge to ensure the company’s effectiveness and to design training and career development, and leadership and succession planning. She also leads the compensation, benefits, payroll and retirement plan functions. Ms. Rousseau, who worked for more than 15 years in human resources at Loblaw, will also report to Josée Dubuc.
On February 20, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s leasing department will welcome Julie Martineau as Vice-President, Leasing – Eastern Region. As such, Mrs. Martineau will be in charge of the planning and execution of leasing activities for the Eastern North America portfolio, from a profitability, growth and value generation perspective. She joins Ivanhoé Cambridge after having spent 20 years working in leasing and real estate management, including 5 years with SmartCentres Inc.
Public Affairs and Communications
On January 30, Michèle Meier was appointed Vice-President, Public Affairs and Communications. She will work on the communication strategy and cultivate relations with various industry partners in Canada and abroad. Ms. Meier has worked in this field for close to 20 years and carried out similar responsibilities at Aimia (formerly Aeroplan Group) between 2003 and 2012.
On October 31, 2011, Vanessa Dumoulin was appointed Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives, thus becoming responsible for the planning and strategic management activities of the office of the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. For 15 years, Ms. Dumoulin’s different roles at McCarthy Tétrault include her position as a lawyer, a Director, Professional Resources for the Quebec region, and Senior Leadership Team Executive at the senior management level.
