On September 27, 2017, the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce honoured the best in local businesses and business people at their 22nd Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala at the Jubilee Pavilion in Oshawa.
Oshawa Centre took home the Business Excellence Award in recognition of its outstanding customer service, enhanced shopping experience and superior amenities, the result of the $230 million expansion and renovation completed by Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2016. The shopping centre was also commended for its ongoing community engagement and commitment to environmental efforts, as well as its workplace wellness program, which includes a series of initiatives designed to encourage the well-being of employees, tenants and the Greater Oshawa community.
