Réal Brunet holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. He acquired more than 35 years of experience with a chartered accounting firm, where he advised clients with national and international operations. For several years, Mr. Brunet provided training for the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés on subjects that included governance. He sat on Rona’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee from 2010 to 2016. He was also a guest member of Agropur’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee from 2012 to 2015 and Chairman of Jovia, a charitable organization that improves the quality of life of hospitalized children and seniors, until 2013. Mr. Brunet was named a Fellow of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec in 1993.
