Maxime Aucoin

Executive Vice-President, Depositors and Total Portfolio


Maxime Aucoin is Executive Vice-President, Depositors and Total Portfolio. He heads portfolio construction, asset allocation and currency management activities, as well as economic and financial analysis, global strategy and depositor advisory services. He co-chairs the Strategy and Execution Committee, which oversees the strategic positioning of CDPQ’s total portfolio. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Investment-Risk Committee.

Mr. Aucoin was previously Executive Vice-President and Head of Total Portfolio, Senior Vice-President, Total Portfolio, and Vice-President, Strategy. Before joining CDPQ in 2012, he worked for several years in strategic consulting.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from HEC Montréal. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Aucoin is a member of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Board of Directors, the Steering Board of the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales de l’Université de Montréal (CERIUM) and the major fundraising campaign committee of Fondation Madeli-Aide pour l’éducation, as well as Treasurer of Fondation Tremplin Santé. From 2013 to 2017, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Taking Root, an innovative reforestation non-profit.
