Maher Hemissi

Vice President and Chief Information Officer


Since 2021, Maher Hemissi has served as Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role, Maher oversees the development and implementation of a successful, long-term strategic plan for information technology management. He also leads efforts to drive the evolution of Ivanhoé Cambridge’s IT model, considered the foundation for the company’s current digital acceleration.

Maher is a multi-disciplinary executive with extensive experience in information technology, post M&A integration and digital transformation for the financial services industry, and a solid track record of consistently piloting transformation programs and building/leading high performance teams. He is also extremely knowledgeable about the investment industry, having worked with global organizations in this sector for nearly 25 years.

Maher spent fourteen years at Fiera Capital where he held various IT positions culminating in his 2015 appointment as Chief Technology Officer for its Canadian division. In the fall of 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice-President, Business Technology for the Maples Group, a global leader in the provision of legal, fiduciary, fund, regulatory/compliance, entity formation. and management services for hedge funds and Private Equity investment managers.

Maher holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the Institut Préparatoire aux études scientifiques et techniques (Tunis, Tunisia), a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering from the École Nationale des Sciences Informatiques (Tunis), and a Master's (Honours) in Software Engineering from Université du Québec’s École de technologie supérieure.
