Jorge Margain

Managing Director, Mexico


Jorge Margain is responsible for implementing investment and asset management strategies in Mexico as outlined in Ivanhoé Cambridge’s annual business plan and strategic plan. He is part of the Latin America team and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to increase the Company’s knowledge of the Mexican market and further strengthen its visibility within the country. He also oversees the development of strategic partnerships with Mexican companies.

Mr. Margain has extensive experience in the industry and more specifically in the management of real estate funds in Mexico. Prior to joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2017, he was with PGIM Real Estate, a private equity division of Prudential Financial, where he served as Head of Transactions for Mexico. Before that, he was Senior Director at Tishman Speyer. He has also worked for other real estate development and investment firms, including Tresalia Capital, Apollo Real Estate Advisors and AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis).

Mr. Margain holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He speaks fluent English and Spanish.
