Managing Director, Mexico
Jorge Margain is responsible for implementing investment and asset management strategies in the Mexican market as outlined in Ivanhoé Cambridge’s annual business plan and strategic plan. He is part of the Latin America team and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to increase the Company knowledge of, and its notoriety in Mexico. He also oversees the development of strategic partnerships for the country.
Mr. Margain has extensive experience in the industry and more specifically in the management of r eal estate funds in Mexico. Prior to joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2017, he was with PGIM Real Estate (Prudential), real estate private equity firm where he was the Head of transactions for Mexico. Before that, Mr. Margain was a Senior Director at Tishman Speyer and he also worked for other real estate development and investment firms: Tresalia Capital, Apollo Real Estate Advisors and AMB Property Corporation (currently Prologis).
Mr. Margain holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM). He speaks fluent English and Spanish.
