The event took place on the 47th floor, offering some of the most beautiful views of the city. From city officials and dignitaries to the senior executives of partners involved in the project, everyone enjoyed a lovely evening revelling in the uniqueness of River Point and its unparalleled workspace.

“We are incredibly proud, along with our partner Hines, to be officially inaugurating River Point today. This marks a milestone not only for its partners, but for the city of Chicago itself, being the first office project to break ground in Chicago since 2008,” said Jonathan Pearce, Senior Vice President, Office Leasing, Ivanhoé Cambridge. “More than an office building, River Point is a city building; with its 1-and-a-half-acre Park and River Walk, it provides unsurpassed public benefit to the community and to its occupants.”

“At its core, River Point is a true architectural landmark. Designed by world-renowned Pickard Chilton Architects, in perfect harmony with its context, it enhances the presence of the Chicago River at its foot,” said Pierre-François Chapleau, Senior Vice President, Office Development, North America, Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Tailored to provide best value and satisfaction to tenants, River Point offers ideal floor plate size of approximately 25,000 sq.ft. (2,320 m2), column-free spaces, floor to ceiling glass, outstanding amenity programs amongst which the Park, Gibson’s Steak House Restaurant and health club facility distinguish River Point from the competition. Built to the highest standards of sustainability and pre-certified for LEED Gold, it will offer its clients world-class office space. Ivanhoé Cambridge has a long-term vision for the Chicago market and will keep monitoring acquisition and development opportunities with its two key partners, Callahan Capital Properties and Hines.
